18 Candid Snapshots of Elvis Presley 1956 photos I loved Elvis, his music, and all those silly movies. These vintage-style reproductions are drop-dead beautiful and would make a fantastic gift to anyone who loves The King! The year was 1956 and a young, untamed Elvis Presley and his band were traveling through Florida on their way to play Jacksonville's Florida Theatre when they stopped at a Daytona Beach motel and had lunch at the Lakefront Seafood Restaurant. The owner of the motel had a young daughter who spotted Elvis immediately as he pulled up in his new Lincoln Continental. She quickly grabbed her camera and shot 18 frames. These are exact, deeply scanned copies of the original candid pictures she took with her camera, complete with a 1950's style edge on every photograph. They are surprisingly sharp with good contrast and as a matter of fact, they look much better than the originals (which we no longer have). The actual photographs are 3" X 3" - not including borders. These off-the-cuff photos show a young Elvis eager to reach out to his fans by signing autographs and just hanging out with the Florida locals. The girls are obviously enchanted by Elvis - some maybe a bit TOO enchanted and playful, but Elvis is loving every minute of it. He knew how to connect with the public ... and a few very lucky fans who just happened to be in the right place at the right time on that hot summer day in Daytona Beach. $50 / radiomanager@yahoo.com /$5.25 priority shipping USA / $11.50 for International.
